Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

About the Position:
The Physical Therapist Assistant provides therapeutic services to patients through the use of therapeutic procedures and intervention under the direction of a supervising therapist and in accordance with prescriptions from a physician and with the established policies and procedures. Functions in cooperation with the leadership team to efficiently and effectively meet the objective of providing quality care. Participates in Peformance Improvement activities. Provides service to age range from infant to geriatric. Other duties as assigned

Regulatory Requirements:

  • High School graduate or equivilant;
  • An Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistant from an institution approved and accredited by the National Board of Examiners.
  • Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
