Job Description

: Performs a variety of imaging procedures, including Minor interventional procedures such as Thoracentesis and paracentesis, and Major procedures such as kyphoplasty, Stent placements, angiography with and without intervention. Other responsibilities include scrubbing into cases, panning equipment, monitoring patients hemodynamicly, assisting with device implants, setting up sterile trays, ordering and restocking supplies assisting in patient prep and instructing patients during procedures. Functions as the first line interface with customers in the successful accomplishment of their imaging needs. Participates in Performance Improvement activities. Provides service to age range from neonate to geriatric.


Qualifications

Regulatory Requirements:
* Graduation from an AMA-approved school of Radiologic Technology.
* Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
* IVR certification preferred. Must be achieved within 24 months of hire.
* Current BCLS certification.
* Knowledge and understanding of general anatomy, physiology and medical terminology.
* One year of radiologic/imaging experience.
* Bachelor of Science degree is preferred, but not required.
* Proficiency with equipment manufacturer's hardware and software (GE, Siemens, Philips).
Language Skills
* Ability to read and communicate effectively in English.
* Additional languages preferred.
Skills:
* Basic computer knowledge.
