About ORMC:

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 by 14 obstetricians, pediatricians, and family practitioners as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Hospital in 1995.

In June 2007, Odessa Regional Hospital purchased Alliance Hospital and changed its name to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. In 2015, ORMC acquired Basin Healthcare Center. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

About the Posiiton:

Responsible for issuing and delivering supplies for the departments that are replenished by the Par level process. Pulling supplies and delivering to the Departments that order supplies through Requisition Self Service. Attends all Department Meetings. Participates in Performance Improvement activities.

Delivers supplies and equipment to the user departments in an efficient and timely manner.

Receives and fills assigned supply requisitions, from departments, that are not replenished by the PAR System.

Interfaces directly with staff members of the user departments to determine the need for additions or deletions to the PAR Level Replenishment System for their department.

Maintains all areas of materials storage in a neat and organized manner.

Restocks utilizing proper rotation, organization, identification, documentation and proper location of stock items.

Properly handles and stores sterile items to maintain sterility.

Maintains all equipment utilized in transporting supplies in a manner that ensures reliable and safe operation.

Notifies the Material Manager when supplies are needed.

Requires minimal supervision in performance of job duties.

Understands how to prioritize responsibilities to ensure completion of duties.

Is a self-starter; initiates the meeting of responsibilities without prompting.

Maintains a good working relationship both within the department and with other departments.

Communicates clearly and appropriately to the Materials Management Director and co-workers.

Regulatory Requirements:

High School graduate or equivalent.

Language Skills:

  • Ability to effectively communicate in English, both verbally and in writing.


  • Basic computer knowledge.
