About ORMC:
Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.
Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.
About the Position:
Provides indirect patient care in the maternity setting, consistent with the unit’s standards of care. Meets the communication needs of the patient/family, departmental staff and medical staff. Demonstrates basic computer knowledge. Prepares and compiles records in the Maternity Department. Initiates directions from physician and nursing staff. Participates in performance improvement activities. Maintains regulatory agency requirements, nursing and hospital policies, procedures and standards. Demonstrates performance consistent with the mission, philosophy and goals of the unit and organization; remains flexible to changing systems; is expected to demonstrate quality and effectiveness in work habits; and treats staff, physicians, patients and families with consideration and respect. Participates in Performance Improvement activities. Provides service to age range from neonate to geriatric. Other duties as assigned.
Regulatory Requirements:
- High School graduate or equivalent.
- Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
