About ORMC:

Odessa Regional Medical Center was founded in 1975 as Odessa Women’s and Children’s Hospital. Through the years, the hospital grew and evolved into a full-service healthcare facility and the name was changed to Odessa Regional Medical Center to reflect its larger campus and more comprehensive services. The hospital has 225 beds and has approximately 250 physicians on staff and has over 700 employees.

Today, ORMC offers a wide spectrum of healthcare services, including advanced diagnostic imaging technology, emergency care, innovative surgical procedures, maternity care, comprehensive cardiac services and general medical care.

About the Position:

Provides care in the ambulatory setting directed toward meeting both the psychosocial and physical needs of the patient. Is a resource person and teacher. Care given reflects initiative and responsibility indicative of professional expectations. Utilizes initiative and strives to maintain steady level of productivity. Is a self-starter. Is compatible and supportive; and a team player. Communicates on behalf of the patient reflects the mission, ethics and goals of the facility, as well as the focus statement of the department. Authority to assign other nurses to patients, based on the Charge Nurse’s assessment of the various patients’ needs and nurse’s abilities. Provides service to age range from neonate to geriatric. Participates in Performance Improvement Activities. Other duties as assigned.

Regulatory Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited nursing school.
  • Current Registered Nurse licensure in state of Texas.
  • One year nursing experience preferred.
  • Certifications as indicated by the Steward Certification document.
